Born in Scercane, Maddie was mostly raised by her human father, Financier Brodbeck. When she was 4 years old, her mother never came home. For the last 20 years, Maddie questions her mother's whereabouts. After training under Finn, she became a prodigy in baking and culinary arts. Maddie is also trained in some magic spells, but she never considered using them for combat and adventuring purposes. When Maddie joined the Blue Cloaks, she befriended a tall, friendly firbolg named Gael. During her adventures with the Fortune's Blade, Maddie finds out she's not exactly human and her missing mother is not what she seems.
