In exchange for the freedom of her friend, Tana must obtain the moon from the Material Plane and bring it back, for which she underwent intense combat training in preparation.

Upon hearing thief stories from Uncle Don, Caz imitates her uncle's stories which eventually develops her kleptomania at a young age. Caz started performing tightrope walking at age 15 when the original performer died in an accident. Reuben is her monkey familiar that she stole a wooden monkey statue from a mysterious man. Although her family worries that her kleptomania will get her arrested, Caz tries not to get caught or cause trouble on purpose for her parents' sake.

After not finding anything and a pivotal event, Gael left the safety of the nearby Elven village and proceeded to wander the world, helping those he could before fatefully making his way into the Lucky Sapphire, meeting Maddie, and then joining what would become Fortune's Blade.
